Understanding Completion Metrics
The extension calculates completion based on:
✓ Slides with correct answers (always count as complete)
-- View-only slides with no input required (count as complete)
○ Slides with regular submissions (count as complete)
✗ Slides with incorrect answers (optional - based on your setting)
Hidden slides are automatically excluded from calculations
Reading the Results
View Class Summary showing average completion percentage and total students
Individual student results are displayed with completion percentages
Color-coded progress bars show completion levels:
Green: 70% or higher completion
Orange: 40-69% completion
Red: Below 40% completion
Students are sorted by completion percentage (highest to lowest)

Participation-based grading
Formative assessments
Practice activities
The setting applies only to the current analysis (not saved between sessions)
Troubleshooting
Extension doesn't appear: Make sure you're on a Desmos Classroom dashboard page
No data appears: Ensure students have submitted work on at least some activities
Results look incorrect: Try toggling the "Count incorrect answers" option
Copy to clipboard doesn't work: Some browsers require permission for clipboard access
Best Practices
Run the tracker at the end of class sessions to monitor progress
Use CSV export for detailed record-keeping
Compare completion rates across different activities or over time
Identify students who may need additional support based on low completion rates
Use clipboard copy feature for quick entry into gradebooks
Privacy Information
All analysis happens locally in your browser
No student data is sent to external servers
The extension only reads data already visible on your dashboard
No data is stored between sessions (unless you export it)
Note: This extension helps teachers quickly assess student activity completion in Desmos Classroom. It does not modify any data in your Desmos account and only analyzes what's visible on your dashboard.
